Complete and generally in very good condition with the normal wear and minor foxing throughout. Wear to exteriors, cracking to leather joints and heavy chipping and wear to head and tail of leather spine. Note that the majority of double-page illustrations are clean. Occasional signed name visible to the top edge of title pages (in pencil and erasable). Some title pages show the contemporary'Bartlett's Bookstore Painesville, Ohio' Stamp (list below). Very detailed condition report listed below with notable issues. Please view numerous photos to get a better idea of condition.

Front and back 2 blank end leaves worn, foxed and creased /  2 inch closed tear to upper edge of leaf 149.150 / 1.5 inch closed tear to lower edge of leaf 175.176 / strip torn away of lower edge of leaf 183.184 (March 21 issue)/ small 0.5 inch closed tear to the upper edge affecting pages 180-234 / pages 305-320 showing some staining and spotting to pages, some tears to leaf 307.308, 2 inch closed tear to upper edge of leaf 309.310 (May 16th issue) /  1 inch tear to lower edge of leaf 385.386 / stain to inner corner of pages 402 and 403 / long tear across leaf 403.404 / stain to inner corner of pages 450 and 451 / front page of August 29 issue (leaf 545.546) piece cut away with no loss of text / odd 1x3 inch piece cut away at lower edge of leaf 559.560 (May 16th issue) / toned discolouration to outer lower corner affecting pages 603-633 (see photos) / old stain to outer edge affecting pages 673-676 / lower corner torn away of leaf 753.754 / old stain to lower corner of leaf 765.766
